12 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Chrysler 300?
The NHTSA has issued 28 recalls affecting the 2019 Chrysler 300 covering airbags, electrical systems, transmission components, driveshaft bolts, alternators, and software vulnerabilities. These recalls include air bag inflator defects that can explode and cause injury, instrument cluster illumination and cruise-control software issues, transmission park/park-lock defects and PCM/PCM-related problems, front driveshaft bolt loosening on AWD models, alternator failures that can cause stalling, and a radio software vulnerability affecting vehicle network security. If you own a 2019 Chrysler 300, contact Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Noblesville, IN to confirm which campaigns apply and to schedule service at no charge.
How do I check if my 2019 Chrysler 300 has an open recall?
You can check open recalls by running your VIN through the NHTSA recall lookup or by bringing your vehicle to our service team for a free VIN check. NHTSA is the authoritative source for recalls; our factory-trained technicians at Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will also confirm open campaigns and advise next steps. To get a fast, certified check and to schedule service with OEM tools, visit our service center or call and ask about recall VIN verification.
How much does a 2019 Chrysler 300 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are free of charge to the vehicle owner when performed at an authorized dealer. Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram performs recall repairs using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians with no out-of-pocket cost for covered campaigns. If you need other non-recall repairs, ask about our current service specials and available service financing to pay over time.
Can I get my 2019 Chrysler 300 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed by an authorized dealer to guarantee OEM parts, factory diagnostics, and proper installation under the manufacturer program. While some independent shops may perform similar repairs, only a certified franchise dealer like Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can ensure the repair is recorded with the manufacturer and provided free as part of the recall remedy. For safe, documented completion and to protect warranty and resale value, schedule an appointment with our certified recall team.
How long does a 2019 Chrysler 300 recall repair take?
Repair time varies by campaign: many software updates and part replacements take less than a day, while component swaps like transmissions or alternators can take longer. At Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Noblesville, our factory-trained technicians and OEM parts logistics are focused on quick turnaround; we’ll give you a clear estimate before work begins. If you need alternate transportation, let us know when you schedule service; we also offer service specials and can discuss loaner or shuttle options where available.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Chrysler 300's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can reduce buyer confidence and may negatively affect trade-in or resale offers, since some buyers and dealers verify recall completion before purchase. Having recalls addressed at Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram protects value by ensuring the manufacturer repair is completed, documented, and performed with OEM parts. To protect your vehicle's value, consider getting recalls resolved before listing or trading in; start the process on our trade-in/appraisal page.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Chrysler 300 recall?
In most states, recalls are a safety issue but not always a direct inspection failure; however, certain recall-related defects (stalling, non-working warning lights, or emissions-affecting issues) can cause inspection problems. NHTSA recall defects such as alternator failures, instrument cluster warnings, or PCM/park defects can lead to functional problems that may be flagged during inspections. To avoid inspection or insurance complications, have recall work completed at our dealership; you can schedule an appointment and ask about service financing if needed.
Safety Risks You Can't Ignore
The 2019 Chrysler 300 faces several safety-related recalls that can pose real danger if left unaddressed; examples from NHTSA records include air bag inflator defects that may explode and send metal fragments into the cabin, alternator failures that can cause sudden stalling, and transmission park-lock or PCM issues that can result in unintended vehicle movement.
