Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica?
The NHTSA lists 29 recall notices related to Chrysler Pacifica model years and systems that can also apply to Pacifica platforms; details include battery isolator posts, powertrain modules, seat belts, axle shafts, and software issues. Key affected systems referenced by NHTSA include the Hybrid Propulsion System (diode/PIM failure), battery/12V isolator post overheating risk, powertrain control module software problems, control arm pinch bolts, and rearview/radio software bugs that can distract drivers. Consequences reported by NHTSA range from a sudden loss of motive power or stall, to increased fire risk or occupant restraint failures; all are safety-critical and should be evaluated by a franchise dealer without delay. For a free inspection or to book corrective work, schedule service with Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram — recall repairs are performed at no charge with OEM parts by factory-trained technicians.
How do I check if my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica has an open recall?
You can check recall status by entering your VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring the vehicle to our dealer and we will check the manufacturer's database for free. The NHTSA database and manufacturer notifications are authoritative; our service team at Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Noblesville, IN can validate your VIN, confirm open campaigns, and explain any necessary remedies. If you prefer in-person verification, you may schedule service and we will run the OEM diagnostic check while you wait or provide a courtesy loaner when available.
How much does a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are free of charge to vehicle owners under the recall program. Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram performs all recall repairs at no cost using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians, and we will provide an estimate only for non-recall maintenance or optional repairs. If you need assistance with out-of-pocket repairs, ask about our service financing and available service specials to help manage costs.
Can I get my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by a certified dealer to ensure the manufacturer-approved remedy and warranty coverage; franchise dealerships provide the required OEM tools and parts. Independent shops may be excellent for routine maintenance, but recall repairs often require factory software flashes, OEM replacement modules, or warranty tracking that only a franchise dealer like Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can deliver reliably. To ensure the repair is recorded with the manufacturer and remains free, please schedule service with our certified recall team in Noblesville, IN.
How long does a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica recall repair take?
Repair times vary by recall but many software updates or label replacements can be completed in under a few hours; more complex component swaps may take longer. For example, software updates to powertrain or radio modules are often same-day; replacements like transmissions or halfshafts require parts and additional shop time — our service advisors will give a time estimate when you schedule appointment. If an interim inspection or loaner is required (as noted for some battery isolator recalls), Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will coordinate temporary transportation and keep you informed while the final remedy is developed.
Does an open recall affect my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in offers and may discourage private buyers because recalls are public record on NHTSA and manufacturer databases. Having recall work completed at a certified dealer like Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Noblesville, IN protects resale and trade-in value and provides documented proof that safety repairs were performed with OEM parts. We also offer appraisal and trade-in services online at our trade-in page so you can see how resolved recalls positively impact offers.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2023 Chrysler Pacifica recall?
In some states or localities, certain safety recalls related to restraints, brakes, or emissions may be considered during inspections and could affect compliance — it's safest to address open recalls promptly. Because recalls can involve seat belts, brakes, or engine stalling, ignoring them may create inspection or insurance issues; Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram recommends resolving recalls to avoid complications. If you need quick help before an inspection, schedule service and ask about our service financing and available service specials to get immediate assistance.
