Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica?
The NHTSA database lists 29 recall entries related to Chrysler Pacifica models (many affecting 2017–2020 model years); owners of a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica should check their VIN to see which, if any, apply. These records cover components including the hybrid propulsion system, battery and 12V isolator post, powertrain control module, engine software, control arm, axle shafts, transmission, seat belts, rearview camera/radio software and other items. Because many entries target earlier model years and plug-in hybrid variants, the only reliable way to know if a recall applies to your 2026 Chrysler Pacifica is to check the VIN or bring the vehicle to our service department for a free VIN recall check. To have us verify your vehicle, schedule service online and our team in Noblesville will confirm open recalls and advise next steps.
How do I check if my 2026 Chrysler Pacifica has an open recall?
You can check open recalls by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for a free dealer VIN check. If you prefer help, our service advisors will run the VIN check and explain any manufacturer notices we find from the NHTSA, including recall numbers and affected components. If a recall is open, our factory-trained technicians will perform the recall repair using OEM parts at no charge to you under the manufacturer program. To confirm now, schedule service or call our service center; we also offer service financing so you can get other recommended maintenance now and pay later.
How much does a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are free of charge to the vehicle owner when performed at an authorized dealership like Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. The manufacturer (Chrysler/FCA) covers parts and labor for recall remedies; if an interim inspection or loaner is required while parts are developed, the dealer will follow manufacturer directions free of charge. Non-recall repairs or related maintenance not covered by the recall will be quoted separately; we offer transparent estimates and service financing options to help with non-covered work. To arrange a free recall inspection and repair, schedule service online or review our current service specials.
Can I get my 2026 Chrysler Pacifica recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to guarantee OEM parts, factory procedures, and free manufacturer-covered service—Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a certified Chrysler franchise and provides those services. Independent shops may be able to perform corrective work, but only an authorized dealer can guarantee manufacturer-paid recall remedies, supply warranted OEM parts, and update manufacturer service records. For your safety and to preserve warranty and resale value, we strongly recommend having recall work done at an authorized Chrysler dealer. Make an appointment to schedule service at our Noblesville facility and our factory-trained techs will complete the recall repair at no cost if your VIN is affected.
How long does a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica recall repair take?
Repair times vary by issue—many software updates or label replacements take under an hour, while part replacements or inspections (for example battery isolator or axle work) may take longer. Some recalls require parts that are temporarily unavailable; in those cases Chrysler provides interim owner notifications and the dealer will perform interim inspections or provide a loaner if required. We will give a specific time estimate when you schedule appointment and we check your VIN; our team aims to minimize downtime and prioritizes safety-related recalls. Check our current service specials and contact our service advisors for expected turnaround and loaner availability in Noblesville.
Does an open recall affect my 2026 Chrysler Pacifica's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively affect trade-in and resale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and service history before purchase. Getting recall work performed at Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram protects value: we document OEM recall remedies in the manufacturer system and we can provide records for buyers or appraisals. If you plan to trade or sell, having all recalls addressed removes buyer objections and can speed up offers and inspections—use our online appraisal at sell your car for an estimate. To resolve recalls before selling, schedule service with our certified technicians and ask about service financing if you need other repairs done at the same time.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2026 Chrysler Pacifica recall?
Some recalls address safety equipment or required labels and, depending on state inspection rules, unresolved issues could contribute to a failed inspection—check local law and the specific recall details on NHTSA.gov. Because recall items can affect vehicle safety systems (engine stalling, seat belts, brakes, or labels), we recommend addressing open recalls before scheduled inspections to avoid complications. Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can verify open recalls during a free VIN check and perform the required repairs with OEM parts, protecting you from inspection failures or safety risks. To avoid surprises at inspection time, schedule service with our factory-trained technicians in Noblesville and consult our service advisors about timing and loaner options.
